  • Stress is primarily a physical response to various situations - based on regular thinking patterns, beliefs, previous experiences & information. This happens when the body is stressed, feels under attack, and switches to fight-or-flight mode, releasing a complex mix of hormones & chemicals, such as adrenaline, cortisol, and norepinephrine, to prepare the body for a physical response.

    Communication skills are essential to maintaining healthy relationships—treatment-focused work on reducing violent communication and microaggressions, replacing them with nonviolent language; reducing conflicts within relationships; identifying the main issues; and using more effective coping skills.

    Therapeutic approaches used to help clients improve relationship communication skills: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), NVC, Gottment Couples Therapy principles, Self-compassion, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT).

  • Traumas- are the results of adverse events people experience at any point in their lives, including:
